Project structure
The projects in the degree programmes are an essential part of engineering education at the THWS in Schweinfurt and are unique in this form. In the projects, students work in teams to deepen the specialist knowledge they have acquired up to this stage of their studies, while also learning, deepening and applying project management methods holistically in several modules. This project structure has been practised by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering for many years. It was already part of the diploma programme and continues to be expanded and optimised.
Multiple projects are integrated into our degree programmes and build up on each other:
- Application Project (Bachelor Hydrogen and Process Engineering, Bachelor Hydrogen Technology Transnational)
- Product Development Project (Bachelor Mechanical Engineering/BM and Bachelor Mechanical Engineering/BMEE)
- Engineering Project (Bachelor Mechanical Engineering/BM, Bachelor Mechanical Engineering/BMEE, Bachelor Mechatronics/BMC and Bachelor Mechatronics/IMC)
- Cooperation Project (Master Product Development and Systems Design)
- Project Machine Elements and Design (Bachelor Mechanical Engineering/BM and Bachelor Mechanical Engineering/BMEE)
More information about all projects can be found in the project structure guideline documents:
